How to enable access to Groups drives in OneDrive file picker

To get access to a group drive, you need to obtain permission from the administrator, even if you own this group. This is the feature of the OneDrive API.

By default, using OneDrive File Picker, you can select files only from your personal drive. To enable access to OneDrives Groups drives, you must obtain permission from the administrator.

Open OneDrive File Picker in order to start the process. If your access to Groups drives hasn’t been enabled yet in your account, you will see the link 'Enable access to Groups drives' at the top of the dialog.

When clicking on the link, you will be redirected to the login screen of the Microsoft account. To successfully complete the process, you must log in as an administrator.

If the process was successful, then at the top of the dialog you will see the drives selector, which will display the available drives.

Note that there is a slight delay between allowing access to groups and enabling access to them. Usually the waiting period does not exceed 2 minutes. If right after the group access is enabled, the group still does not appear in your OneDrive File picker, then you need to close the dialog, wait a bit and open it again.
