How to enable browser storage access for third-party apps

Why do I need to enable browser storage access for third-party apps?

Sometimes your browser can prevent Atlassian Cloud apps to access its storage features (both cookies and local storage). In the latest versions of Safari, it is a default behavior.

Below you will find browser-specific instructions on how to enable the access.

Browsers

Safari

  1. Go to ‘Preferences’ → ‘Privacy’
  2. Uncheck ‘Prevent cross-site tracking’ option

Firefox

  1. Open ‘Privacy and Security’ browser settings. This could be achieved in two ways:
    1. Open ‘about:preferences#privacy’ web-page
    2. Go to ‘Preferences’ → ‘Privacy and Security’
  2. Navigate to ‘Cookies and Site Data’ section
  3. Set ‘Accept third-party cookies and site data’ option to ‘Always’

Chrome

  1. Open 'Cookies' browser settings. This could be achieved in two ways:
    1. Open 'chrome://settings/content/cookies' web-page
    2. Go to 'Preferences' → 'Advanced' → 'Content Settings' → 'Cookies'
  2. Uncheck 'Block third-party cookies' option
